We recruit people from international levels to work on our organic farming farm. The appointment is on a 3-year contract.

Field Workers:
Field worker to harvest green leaf, red leaf, butter, iceberg, romaine, and romaine hearts. Cut, bag, pack, and load fresh lettuce in the field. Cutting is done on the harvesting machine by using hands and a cutting knife. Using a harvesting hand knife and bending at the waist, the employee cuts the head from the roots and trims the outer leaves from the head to prepare it to be packed into a carton or tote. The process is repeated. The worker is responsible for the cleaning of equipment and the maintenance of the yard.
Field worker to harvest bulk lettuce. Cut and core fresh iceberg lettuce in the field. Cutting and coring are done on a harvesting belt using hands and a cutting/coring knife. Using a coring knife and bending at the waist, the employee cuts the lettuce from the root, trims the outer leaves, cores the center of the lettuce with a knife, and places it on a belt. The process is repeated, and workers are responsible for cleaning equipment.

We are looking for farm general hands. We are looking to fill 35 vacancies. The successful candidates must be:

The farm is open on weekends and public holidays. Our Farm General Hands have to work varying days, but typically 5 days across the week (typically Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday). The start time is between 4:30 and 6 a.m., with a finish time that varies depending on the day. (The finish time varies usually between 12 pm and 2 pm). Hours worked per week can vary, but on average, they are about 35 hours per week.

The conditions of employment are as per the Horticulture Award 2024, and this role is classified as a Level 1 position and pays a rate of $28.26 per hour AUD. We are looking for Farm General Hands to start as soon as possible, preferably during April or May, and the available work is continuous and unlimited at this point.

Emptying and filling of Mushroom growing rooms

Cleaning of mushroom growing room and machinery and equipment

Moving product to be wrapped

Moving harvester equipment

Moving pallets

Assisting on our pre-pack line
